Which payment methods do you accept?We accept all major credit cards, PayPal or you can make a wire transfer, the choice is yours :)

How do online lessons actually work?Online lessons are not that different from offline lessons at all; the tutor is ‘face-to-face’, just on a screen rather than sat next to the student. GoTime Tuition uses a video conferencing platform so that student and tutor can see and hear each other.

Do we need any equipment or to download anything?A strong, stable internet connection is required (wired connection is the most reliable) along with a computer or laptop equipped with a webcam and speakers. For the best audio quality we recommend students use a headset with microphone. You might need to download an app such as Microsoft Teams, but these also have website versions.

Is my child too young for online tutoring?We always take great care to ensure that the tutor we place is experienced with your child’s age group and we do have several online tutors that are very experienced with younger children.

What is a free trial?A free trial is a 30-minute session which allows the tutor to meet the student, before you make the commitment of booking the tutor. In this trial, the tutor will form a bond with the child, assess strengths and weaknesses and divise a personalised lesson plan.

How much does tuition with GoTime Tuition cost?All our lessons are an hour long and are priced between £15-£25 dependent on your child's age.

Can I cancel an upcoming tuition lesson after I have made a payment?Tutoring lessons can be cancelled and refunded any time up to 24 hours before the lesson is due to start. If the lesson is not cancelled within this time, and there is no exceptional circumstance, payment will be upheld.

What subjects can I tutor online?As an online tutor, you can offer assistance in a wide range of subjects. Here at GoTime Tuition, we offer opportunities to tutor Maths, English, Science, 11+ and French.

How much will I be paid?Tutor pay with GoTime is between £12-£15 per hour dependent on subjects and ages.

What subjects and year groups does GoTime Tuition cover?GoTime Tuition offers a range of subjects for children aged 3-16 years old. The current subjects offered are Maths, English, Science, 11+, French and Spanish. These subjects are offered at Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.

How do you match students with suitable tutors?We give parents the chance to carefully choose from a handpicked group of skilled tutors, each specialised in particular subjects. Our process for selecting tutors is thorough, making sure that they not only know their subjects well but are also really committed to helping students learn and grow. After going through our rigorous selection process, we organise tutors neatly into subject categories. This makes it easy for parents to find the right tutor for their child's needs, whether it's math, science, language, or any other subject.

What technology or online platforms do you use for virtual tutoring?We accomodate lessons on GoogleMeet. Google Meet is a versatile and user-friendly video conferencing platform that offers a wide range of features designed to facilitate productive and secure online meetings and collaborations.

What is the process for becoming a tutor with your agency?You can find the full application procedure under "tutors" and "why become an online tutor". The process is: 1) Apply via the application form on our website. 2) Your application will be reviewed and you will be offered an interview, in which you will teach us a specific subject. 3) If you are successful, you will be onboarded and trained.

How does bookings with parents get communicated to tutors?You will receive an email confirming you have had a booking on our website. The email will consist of the name, contact details and time of the booking.
